Appearance: Abigail has short raven black hair and rather dull green eyes; whenever he's happy or smiling they get a little bit more bright. His hair is a bit messy, especially in the morning when he gets up because then it will be hanging in front of his eyes. Abby often wears black clothing or just dark clothing, like dark brown shirts and dark grey jeans, etc. He is fourteen years old but appears much older, around fifteen or sixteen years old; thus he's often mistaken for a sophomore or a junior. There's not much more to say about his appearance, other than that his skin looks a bit pale and that he doesn't really take the time caring for himself; he barely eats and barely takes showers or brushes his hair. He DOES brush his teeth though.

Personality: Abigail is often quiet and observing, calm and neutral about things in life. He doesn't speak often and is always serious; he can't really take or understand jokes. But this is a mask he puts on, a front he puts up. Abigail is actually very sensitive and emotional inside, though he hides it from people he doesn't know well. He is very concerned about how others think of him and will act cold if people are mean, like he doesn't care, but it truly hurts him inside. He never is seen crying, but will cry when hidden somewhere, when he's sure no one's around. He forces himself to be the very best at everything and will feel horrible if he fails. He won't even let bullies or mean people bring him down, at least not when they are near him. Abigail doesn't really let anyone into his personal life and barely even talks about his life at home, but if you take your time to get closer to him you will be able to break through his thick shell and see the good sweet boy inside that is hiding from the outside world. Though, it's very hard for others to get to know Abigail because he mostly avoids other people.
But, once you get to know him better his true self will come out and he will talk a bit more. He will smile and giggle and share his likes and fears and dreams. He will open up more and help his new found friends. He will even stand up for them when there are bullies threatening them, but he will do this in his cold and serious way because the bullies don't know his true self. Abigail can be girly at time, but only in his thoughts, because he doesn't want to show it; he's too ashamed of himself and is afraid people will judge him for it.

History: Abigail was born as an only child in a rather poor family. His mother was jobless and all she did was clean the house and buy groceries, while his father washed dishes and cooked food in a small fast food restaurant; both parents had almost no education due to dropping out of school at a young age.
The man and woman wanted a child, and they wanted to have a daughter so badly. Eventually the mother, Ebony, got pregnant and they were extremely certain it was a girl so they never went to the doctor's to check the baby's gender. They wanted to name the child Abigail and they were keen to stick to that name. The thought of having a son never crossed their mind so they never thought of a name for a boy in case it was indeed a boy. So when little Abigail, a boy, got born, his parents were in for a surprise.
His father, Reece, was disappointed and his mother confused, they didn't want a boy. Still, they decided to keep the baby. Not having enough time to think of a nice name for a boy they named the little one Abigail Reece, Abigail because that was the name they had always wanted to give their daughter, and Reece because Abigail's father was named Reece, as they wanted him to have at least one male name so that he wouldn't get bullied at school.
Abigail never got any younger siblings due to his mother getting into a car accident and glass tearing her lower belly deeply, turning her infertile, so soon he was treated as his parents' most favorite child, their precious little son, though they treated him more like a daughter. When he was around two to three years old they started dressing him in pink dresses because they thought it was cute, and even at the age of four and five he was sometimes sent to school wearing dresses. He often came home without them though because he had been scolded by the teacher for not acting enough like a boy, and they had taken his dresses from him and put them away, changing him into boy's clothing. But his parents kept on trying and eventually they were called in by the middle school's headmaster, because Abigail got bullied for his name and wearing dresses. He told his parents to stop mistreating him to which they felt horribly pained. But they finally dared to let Abigail wear boy's clothing to school. The bullying stopped when he was around ten years old but he was scarred for life and refused to talk to people, afraid they would call him a little girl and a failure again.
He began acting like a real boy, even though his parents still kept on rewarding his sometimes cute and girly behavior, because he was raised with it; he painted his pink room black and burned his plushies, his doll house got replaced with a desk and a laptop and PC and a big flat screen TV, birthday gifts from his aunt because the woman had a well-paid job and wanted Abigail to be a happy boy; she disliked her brother and his wife a lot, called them child abusers. Reece's and Ebony's dream was shattered when Abigail turned more boy, and more black, because in Abigail's eyes black was the ultimate boy color.
At the age of thirteen his aunt find out he was really smart, because he kept on calculating how much money his father needed to save every year to have enough to pay for food (he often helped his father with these calculations because he couldn't do it himself) and his aunt decided to send Abigail to an expensive high school; Black Rose High. She wanted to pay for a dorm room as well, but he refused. Abigail wanted to stay home with his parents because else the whole new decoration of his boy-like room would be in vain. He was afraid his parents would turn it pink again, so he refused s dorm room to protect his own room at home.
